Cicada : Emergence
Cicadas can, typically, take 17 years to emergence from the safety and nurturing roots of a tree.
So in the case with this piece...not 17 years but a healthy good YEAR to transform and find her true nature.
In this posting I will share how her body transformed and next week will be the final stages of her costuming!
She* in her first form, emerged as a bust...

From there she grew and matured..."growing legs"...
Then her coloring...
Her coat of armor...
She was seated...and stayed that way for many months...resting...maturing...finding her movement.
So she grew again...stretching out her legs and reaching for the stars with arms!
AND her heart grew full...
Because everything grew...her bodice expanded longer...
